Un paraíso tropical se siembra de una fuerza maligna escondida en Far Cry, un shooter de astucia y detallada acción que presiona los límites del combate a nuevos niveles. El marino independiente Jack Carver maldice el día en que llegó a esta isla. Hace una semana, una impetuosa reportera llamada Valerie le ofreció una increíble suma de dinero por llevarla a este escombrado paraíso. Poco después de llegar al muelle, el barco de Jack fue balaceado por un misterioso grupo de la milicia que ha empezado a aparecer por toda la isla.
