Community Spotlight - Lilywhite

As our newest Twitch Drops campaign is live, it’s a perfect time for another Community Spotlight. Today, we’re catching up with Lilywhite - Keeper of the Code and content creator.

Hey Lilywhite, can you tell us a little bit about yourself? How long have you been a member of the Skull and Bones Community?

• Lilywhite: Hi I’m Lilywhite, I am a Keeper of the Code and Admin for the SnB Community Discord and the Subreddit. I have been active in the Community for a couple of years now and have joined the Insider Program around 2023 when I was approached by one of the community managers through Reddit.

What does Skull and Bones and the community mean to you?

• Lilywhite: Honestly? A decent amount of responsibility and personal growth. But having made a lot of Friends and great connections throughout the years that go way beyond just gaming together has been a journey I wouldn't ever want to have missed. It helped my own development in a way I couldn't have imagined. I probably had to grow up a little bit with each of the steps taken within the community.

What’s your favourite thing about being a member of the Skull and Bones community?

• Lilywhite: Being able to see the game shape together with the community and having the ability to steer emotions within the community towards constructive feedback.

What are some of your favourite memories of being part of the Skull and Bones community?

• Lilywhite:
  • The Photo/Art competition back in the open Beta.
  • Definitely sitting together in Singapore with a bunch of other that were willing to travel the world to give feedback on the game.
  • In-game it would likely be a draw between the first crossing of the Ocean towards Telok Penjarah in one of the early Insider Program sessions, and the Megafort Oosten raid in Open Beta.

What advice would you give to a player picking up Skull and Bones for the first time?

• Lilywhite: Make sure you have visible status effect icons enabled in the settings [Menu -> Settings -> Interface -> Customize User Interface -> Status Effect Icons] and your Hotbar does not feature the Camera controls and the shanties. :P

Tough question time, what’s your favourite part of Skull and Bones? And why?

• Lilywhite: Certain details in the world that are not spottable by just walking by. Using camera mode and finding out Yanita is well armed behind her desk definitely made me smile.

If you could tell the Community anything about Skull and Bones what would that be?

• Lilywhite: Its best enjoyed with Friends. There is nothing wrong with finding help within our community or even finding very good friends through it. In the end we all just want to enjoy a good game.

Tell us 3 cool facts about yourself:

• Lilywhite:
  • I have more hours played on test clients than on the main client.
  • (Alexis) Cpt. Aodh can not get rid of me.
  • I probably criticised the game harsher than you have.

• Lilywhite: Honestly. I just wanna use this space to give a shoutout to some very special people that are part of the reason why I am, where I am within the Community. So thank you StrongJonSilver, Waallouh, Anima Tenebrarum, DISsumSauce and Shauna (Ubi-Toon). Even if we have not talked for a while. I am forever grateful for everything you have done!
