XDefiant Closed Beta FAQ

How do I get access to the XDefiant Closed Beta?

Players can get a chance to access XDefiant's Closed Beta through a few different sources:

  • Register to play at playxdefiant.com.

  • Watch partnered channels on Twitch for an access drop. Drops will be active for a limited amount of time so tune in now! Click here for list of partnered channels.

  • Redeem a code from the community. Access codes have been distributed by creators, partners, and more, offering access to the Closed Beta. If you get your hands on one, redeem it at https://redeem.ubisoft.com/xdefiant

  • Many players can invite up to 5 Ubisoft Connect friends to join the Beta. Check your emails to see if you're one of the lucky few!

How do I invite a friend to the XDefiant Closed Beta?

You can invite up to five Ubisoft Connect PC friends to join you in the XDefiant Closed Beta!

To invite a friend:

  • In the confirmation email you received, select Invite My Friends.

  • Select Invite in the Ubisoft Connect friends list, next to your friend username.

Your friend will receive the invitation to the email address associated with their Ubisoft account.

What progression carries over from the Closed Beta?

Overall, player and weapon progression from XDefiant's Closed Beta will not carry over for players at Launch. Players who earn items from the exclusive rewards track will keep those at launch, and the “Violet” Weapons Twitch Drops!

How do I redeem Twitch Drops from the XDefiant Closed Beta?

To receive access for the XDefiant Closed Beta you need to claim your Twitch Drop and redeem your code.

Each code can only be redeemed once.

To redeem your code:

  • Visit the game redemption website.

  • Log into the website with your Ubisoft account.

  • Select the preferred platform you would like to access the Closed Beta on.

  • Enter your code exactly as it is shown.

  • Select Submit my code.

You will receive a confirmation via email to the address associated with your account with instructions on how to access the Closed Beta for your chosen platform.

After claiming Twitch Drops, it can take a couple of hours to receive this email so keep an eye out!

HDR / Saturation Issues

We are aware of this issue, and actively investigating a resolution. For now, we recommend trying two different methods that can help:

  • Enabled DX12 and restart the game

  • Set to game to Windowed Fullscreen and restart

Below are the recommended configurations to play with higher resolutions for the XDefiant Closed Beta on PC.

Recommended 2K configuration (1440p, 60 frames per second)

  • Operating system: Windows 10 (64-bit version)

  • Processor: Intel i7-6700K @ 4.0 GHz or AMD Ryzen 7 1700X @ 3.4 GHz

  • RAM: 16 GB (running dual-channel mode)

  • Video card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 (8 GB) or AMD RX Vega 56 (8 GB)

  • Hard drive: 45 GB available storage (SSD required)

  • DirectX: DirectX 11

Recommended 4K configuration (2160p, 60 frames per second)

  • Operating system: Windows 10 (64-bit version)

  • Processor: Intel Core I7-8700K @ 3.7 GHz or AMD Ryzen 7 2700X @ 4.3 GHz

  • RAM: 16 GB (running dual-channel mode)
