Technical Test Server Announcement

Hello Settlers,

We wanted to give you an update regarding the current status after we announced the delay of our game. After analyzing all the feedback from the different channels, one thing became evident, we needed to give the game into the hands of the players. That is why we decided to start a Technical Test Server (short: TTS) to give access to a limited number of people who will be able to test the game at their own pace and provide feedback.

What is a Technical Test Server?

The Technical Test Server is a developer build, meaning that versions participants play will be work in progress and bugs might be present and overall, the version cannot be seen as final. It is a closed environment for the team to test various features or changes, analyze them and making the right choices based on the received data.

Why are we doing this?

Our main objective is to get real data & feedback. We want to see what our players do when they are able to play our game whenever they want, however they want. Most importantly, we want to know how they feel about the game.

For this, we have established a dedicated channel of communication reserved for members of this Technical Test Server to share about their experience, discuss with each other and get information straight from our development team.

Who is invited?

For now, we are keeping the group of participants relatively small. It is important for us to ensure we do things carefully and set things up in a way that allows us to fully understand the feedback we receive.

We have invited players from all over the world who participated in the Closed Beta.

While being fully optional, we understand this process could be considered demanding for some of the participants as it requires patience and commitment. The Technical Test Server required adherence to a Non-Disclosure Agreement as well as our Ubisoft Code of Conduct

To make sure we receive a constant flow of feedback while not imposing too many guidelines to our participants, we will be increasing the number of players over the course of time if necessary.

Make sure to check your emails to see if you are invited.

As the Technical Test Server started, we will update you once new information and feedback from the players come available. And of course we also like to thank you in advance for your interest in supporting the Technical Test Server.

Cheers,
Your "The Settlers" Team
