Introducing REACT Tech

As the Archæan threat evolves, REACT needs to evolve their gear along with it. Luckily, Dr. Elena María Álvarez, codenamed Mira, is REACT’s Director of Research and Development and has created a whole line of gadgets known as REACT Tech to help combat the Archæans.

Today, we want to introduce you to just some of the tech that you’ll have at your disposal during your incursions into the containment zones.

When Rainbow Six Extraction launches, you will find there are plenty of brand-new gadgets created by REACT specifically to contend with the Archæans.

Let’s start this off by discussing some of the more explosive tools you’ll have in your arsenal.

Impact Grenades, Stun Grenades, Fragmentation Grenades and Nitro Cells are all useful tools against the Archæans.

Para Grenade H264 720

Seeing a need to manage large groups of Archæans, Mira’s newly developed Paralysis Grenades detonate on impact and will temporarily paralyse any threat within its blast radius, leaving them extremely vulnerable to attack.

As you might expect, Smoke Grenades are a great tool for distracting Archæans, allowing you to approach them unseen for a takedown. Claymores can be used to cover your flanks as an added layer of protection against unsuspecting Archæans.

Arc Mine H264 720

Never one to miss an opportunity to adapt, Mira has also further developed claymores into Arc Mines. When an Arc Mine is triggered, a single electric charge will be activated that jumps between Archæans near each other, allowing you to damage several enemies with a single charge.

Scan Mine H264 720

Intelligence gathering remains as critical in Containment Zones as it might be anywhere else. Here we also have some new developments to go along with older tried and true methods. Scan Mines can be deployed on surfaces where they will automatically scan any passing Archæans.

This is just a look at a few of the different gadgets that you can unlock to help you progress through the game. Which piece of REACT Tech are you most excited to try out? Let us know by getting involved in the conversation on Twitter, Instagram, Discord and Reddit.
