9 Things You Didn’t Know You Could Do in Immortals Fenyx Rising

You may know the essentials, but what about the little tips and tricks not as easily found? Well, look no further! Here are nine things you (probably) didn’t know you could do in Immortals Fenyx Rising.

1. Deploy Your Wings to Avoid Fall Damage

You’ll often climb to great heights while exploring, but you definitely don’t want to deal with the damage from plummeting to the ground. Luckily, there’s an intuitive way to soften your fall – from any height: simply deploy your wings at the last second and glide to your destination with your health intact! Alternatively, a quick use of the wings shortly before you reach the ground will help save on the stamina gliding uses.

2. Tame and Ride Animals (Well, Some of Them…)

Taming mounts is an important part of exploration, and some of the animals you see in the world can be coaxed into allowing you to ride them. However, not all animals can be tamed. Specifically, hostile animals. The idea of taming and riding a bear might seem appealing, but all you’ll get from that effort is a fight. Try to stick to animals that look horselike or deerlike, as they’re more likely to be tamable.

3. Use Enemies as Cover

Feeling overwhelmed in combat? Keep calm and use your surroundings to your advantage, including those that intend to tear you apart! Stand behind enemies while in combat, and you can use them as shields. When used as cover, enemies will absorb damage for you and -as a bonus- cut down their own ranks while saving you precious stamina.

4. Catch Enemy Rocks and Throw Them Back

Using Herakles’ Strength, you can anticipate enemy throws and catch rocks as they’re hurtling toward you. Once those rocks have been caught, you can return the favor and throw the rocks right back.

__5. Mix and Match Your Gear __

Like the look of one armor piece, but the stats of another? Good news: no longer will you have to sacrifice fashion for function! You can assign the stats of one armor set to another, making you both a formidably good-looking and powerful warrior.

6. Gain Extra Golden Amber From Trees and Bushes

Golden Amber is a helpful resource used to upgrade potion effects typically found in chests, but another way to get some is by chopping down specific trees and bushes. Look for glowing ones out in the world for a little bump in Amber.

7. Do a Triple Jump using Ares’ Wrath

Need a little extra boost to reach that ledge? You can do a triple jump by using the Ares’ Wrath uppercut immediately after a double jump. And, for a little extra boost, follow the uppercut with your wings to reach just a little bit higher.

8. Get Help with Puzzles

Stumped by a puzzle? Don’t worry; you have a few helpful tools at your disposal.

Puzzle helpers - Whatever Game difficulty you chose, go check out the Gameplay helpers page in the options. You will be able to chose helpers for the Constellation, Fresco and Odysseus challenges as well as toggle on Puzzle Feedback and Puzzle Captions for all puzzle types. These settings can be modified at any time.

Ability Unlock - Some puzzles may require a skill or godly power you haven't unlocked yet. So don't hesitate to come back later and try again.

Take a Break – In God Vaults, your progress will persist once you’ve saved, allowing you to simply leave and revisit later. Sometimes a puzzle just needs fresh eyes or a new Godly Power you haven’t obtained yet. If you’re stuck, maybe save your progress and come back to it at another point.

__9. Use Phosphor’s Decoy on Pressure Plates __

While Phosphor’s decoy can be used in combat, it can also be used as a stand-in on pressure plates in puzzles. Save yourself some time and call on Phosphor’s help!
