Version 1.1.0 – Patch Notes

Hey Dancers! 

Season 1 is finally here, and with it comes a whole new Season progression, with 40 unique rewards to earn! We're looking forward to seeing you ride the Lover Coaster and discover all that we've created.

We've been focusing on making sure the overall game experience stays running smoothly for the future, so this update also brings stability to multiplayer mode and the overall game experience.

Full Patch Notes:

Season 1 - Lover Coaster

  • Season page: Addition of a page specific to the current Season with a Season description and seasonal progression.

  • Home page highlight banner: Update of the banner at the top of the Home page to showcase the current Season.

  • Menu: There's a new button in the menu to access the Season page.

  • Season progression:

    • Addition of a progression system specific to Seasons.
    • Addition of a widget in the score recap screen to display progress in the Season.
    • 40 Season rewards:
      • 5 Avatars
    • 8 Backgrounds
    • 8 Borders
    • 1 Badge (with 3 levels to earn)
    • 5 Aliases
    • 3 Scoring Effects
    • 6 Emotes
    • 2 Victory Celebrations
  • Season information: A new Season icon is displayed over seasonal content (songs, playlists, rewards).

Scoring

  • Score reset: To fix a bug that allowed incorrect scores on playlist leaderboards, playlist scores for all players will be reset. Sorry about that!

What's new page

  • Addition of a page displayed on launching the game, before arriving on the Home page, to share game news.

Settings

  • Beat vibrations have been optimized and can be activated in the settings.

Stability

  • Improved overall stability of the game.
  • Improved overall stability of multiplayer mode.
  • Some known issues still remain - we're working on it!

Bug fixes

General

  • Title screen: An error message prevented players from passing the title screen in some countries or regions.

  • Video: Some screens suffered from flickering, text distortion and visual artifacts after 15-20 mins.

  • Video: Video freezes could be observed on some songs.

  • Gameplay: No SFX were played when the crown changed hands during a song.

  • [PS5] Cursor navigation: The cursor did not change its direction when a player held the stick in one direction and then switched direction during navigation. This has been resolved to make navigation more fluid.

Multiplayer

  • [Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch] A discrepancy in players' identification colors could be observed during gameplay when dancing in multiplayer.
  • [Xbox Series X/S] When in a group on the Coach selection screen, the game would get stuck if a player had variable internet bandwidth.
  • [Xbox Series X/S] The game did not allow access to multiplayer areas after reconnecting to the network.
  • [Xbox Series X/S] The game did not transition into a multiplayer session when joining a group via the guide from a suspended state.
  • [Xbox Series X/S] Infinite loading happened on the Coach selection screen for players with low internet bandwidth.

Friend system

  • [Nintendo Switch, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S] "Confirm" and "Cancel" buttons had the same color in the "Are you sure" popup.
  • [Nintendo Switch, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S] A notification was missing when a player received a friend request from another player.

Controller haptics

  • [Nintendo Switch] Navigation vibration was still present with console in handheld mode.
  • [PS5] Vibration was non-functional on the PS5 controller while playing the game.

Sound

  • [Nintendo Switch] An unpleasant sound would play when accessing the Group menu after performing any actions like playing a song, editing a Dancer Card or accessing the Emotes.

Gameplay

  • [Xbox Series X/S] The game would get stuck after confirming a Coach in the Coach selection screen after 1-hour of idle time.
  • [Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, PS5] The game would get stuck in the Coach selection screen after pressing the Home button and quickly selecting a Coach.
  • [PS5] Songs were not launching after quitting a song when using PS5 activities.
  • [Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, PS5] Group members were unable to enter the game if the group leader had launched a song while a group member was in the Shop or the Ubisoft Connect app.
  • [Nintendo Switch] An error popup would appear after connecting or disconnecting a local guest player during gameplay.
  • [Nintendo Switch, PS5] A "Quit activity" popup would appear in every song lobby if the player had left a playlist by pressing back and then launched a song.
  • [Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, PS5] The "Kym Noe" Avatar would flash in place of all dancers' Avatars for a few seconds whenever a player joined/left a group.
  • [Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, PS5] Songs could be played behind the "Controller disconnected" popup.
  • [Nintendo Switch] An invisible cursor was present when the player completed a song and connected a guest player in the Coach selection screen of another song.
  • [Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch] If a player went to the Shop from the "Next activity" screen after a song, there was an infinite loading loop after clicking on the "Dance now" button and the Group menu was greyed out.

Locker Room

  • [Xbox Series X/S] Broken visuals were displayed in the Avatars menu.
  • [Nintendo Switch] There was a discrepancy between the selected Avatar and its preview in the Locker Room.
  • [Nintendo Switch] There were FPS drops while navigating between tabs in the Locker Room.

Search

  • [Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, PS5] A zoom-in/zoom-out animation was missing after clicking on "X" to cancel a search in the search tab.

Leaderboard

  • [Nintendo Switch] Text was cut off on the small leaderboard when a player's rank was over 9999.
  • [Xbox Series X/S] [VAR:PLAYERUBICONNECTNAME] was displayed on Dancer Cards.
