Hello Captains, we are here today with a spotlight segment on one of our Keepers of the Code, a fellow sea faring adventurer and a CONTENT CREATOR
Hey ChargingCharlie, Can you tell us a little bit about yourself? How long have you been a member of the Skull and Bones' Community?
ChargingCharlie: Hey there! I'm Charlie, a high school math teacher by day and variety streamer by night. I spent over a decade working in naval aviation as a mechanic before transitioning into teaching and content creation. I've been part of the Skull and Bones community since 2021, when Alexis discovered my stream just a few weeks into my Twitch journey. That moment led to my involvement in the Insider Program, and I've been sailing ever since.
What does Skull and Bones mean to you?
ChargingCharlie: The Skull and Bones community is a mix of casual and hardcore players from all over the world. While that's true for a lot of games, what makes this one different is how dedicated the developers and community managers are. They keep the conversation open through Reddit, Discord, and other platforms, and they really listen. You feel like you're not just playing the game but helping shape it too.
What's your favourite thing about being a member of the Skull and Bones community?
ChargingCharlie: The people, hands down. I have made real connections that have turned into lasting friendships. We keep the chaos high, but our respect for each other even higher. There's something special about sharing the seas with people who genuinely care about the game and each other.
What advice would you give to a player picking up Skull and Bones for the first time?
ChargingCharlie: Don't rush. Explore. Learn the winds, get comfy with your ship, and don't fear a few sinkings. You'll learn a lot from your own playstyle and build preferences by trying out different things.
Tough question time, what's your favourite part of Skull and Bones? And why?
ChargingCharlie: I love the side quests and investigations. There are so many little details, bits of lore, and hidden spots that make the world feel alive. The game is beautiful and full of surprises, but you have to slow down and look for them. It rewards curiosity.
If you could tell the Community anything about Skull and Bones what would that be?
ChargingCharlie: Play your way. Whether you're a merchant, a menace, or a solo explorer, there's room for all of it. Keep experimenting and give feedback. The devs are paying attention, and this world keeps growing with us. Never pass up a chance for rare and high-tier loot, that's a crime in my books.
Tell us 3 cool facts about yourself
- I am unbeatable in arcade basketball. Unofficial TwitchCon 2024 champion, baby! I welcome challengers at TwitchCon San Diego 2025.
- I worked on Top Gun: Maverick, specifically prepping Maverick's F-18, all the way through to its recommissioning with the Blue Angels.
- Goblin's Greed is my very first in-game item ever. It's dedicated to my little army of unhinged Goblins who make streaming fun. I fiercely love them.
Thank you so much for your time! Is there one last thing you'd like to say to the readers?
ChargingCharlie: Take the shot. Apply to that thing, start that stream, make the weird build. The best moments come when you lean into the chaos.
Make sure to tune into ChargingCharlie's stream, where she'll be streaming Wednesday through to Sunday from 6PM PDT and watch for an hour to earn the emblem "Goblin's Greed". You'll have until the 12th August to earn the drop.
