Cosima Deschamps

1-year apprenticeship in Human Resources at Ubisoft International HQ

What is your background?

I have a diploma in Multimedia & Web and in Communication and Project Management after a three-year education in a University Technology Institute. I chose this path to acquire theoretical and practical skills on digital topics, especially in communication, graphic design and programming. I am currently pursuing a Digital Strategy & E-business Master Degree. I believe this made me very multi-skilled and adaptable to change. Ubisoft was the first big company I joined, a logical flow after 2 internships in start-ups where the atmosphere is studious, but fun!

What is the most exciting project you’ve worked on?

I had the opportunity to work on a wide range of subjects and to discover a lot about the learning and training environment in general. Managing the internal learning and development network as well as the learners' community at Ubisoft was probably what I preferred during this experience because I had the opportunity to meet many people with fascinating expertise.

What did you learn during your internship?

I learnt a lot about the video game industry in general but also the incredible jobs that make Ubisoft. I even began to play again! It was also my first big experience in a company of this size, and I learnt a lot from understanding how everything comes together.

Why would you recommend this internship at Ubisoft to other students?

Ubisoft is a company where you feel at home in terms of both comfort and atmosphere! All the internal events are great and it is an opportunity to meet many different people with exceptional expertise.

In your opinion, which qualities are required to succeed as an intern at Ubisoft?

An open mind and a touch of craziness is key! I think that the main quality is to be able to adapt to any situation, to listen to the teams and to be curious in order to learn each day.
